Welcome to 'Chocks Away 1940', a company specialising in history workshops for children!

We aim to bring history topics to life so that children develop a greater passion for learning about the past and increase their sense of curiosity.
 

Our history workshops are delivered in a personable way, led by a character from the period. Each workshop follows a relevant narrative, including lots of interesting facts for children and adults alike, gentle humour, revolting truths, individual and group participation, and the handling of artefacts.
 

What sets us apart from many other companies is that we prefer to work with one class or group at a time rather than the entire year group. This allows greater participation, encourages younger minds to remain focused and allows more opportunities for the children to ask questions relevant to their learning.
